                                            Then a grim battle ensued on issue of Bangladesh. The Mukti Bahini and Indian forces formed a joint command under which they were fighting and inflicting crushing below on the enemy in every sector on the war. The cruel hordes were finally compelled to surrender on the 16th December,1971.                                                                    

                                            With the surrender of the Pak Army ,Bangladesh became free and 75 million people heaved a sigh of relief. The great  majority of the countries of the world accorded recognition of Bangladesh. Bangladesh was also granted membership if the U .N.O. since then Bangladesh has been trying utmost to make rapid progress in every sphere of life.

                                                                                     The concept of genocide implies ‘   the destruction of national or religious groups.’ The term was used indictment accused against the Nazi War Criminals. The barbarity of the Pak Army in Bangladesh were so grave that they might conveniently be termed as a deliberate attempt at committing genocide in Bangladesh.
